The women who looked distressed said they contract many genital infections including candidiasis which has affected their sexual relationship with their husbands.

Some said their marriage collapsed because they can't have sex anymore.

According to reports by Accra-based Adom FM, married women complained that due to the bad toilet facilities, sex isn’t pleasant any longer.

They said "We are suffering. We are getting sickness. Our husbands are leaving us. We have voted and regretted. When it rains we can’t even stand the smell. We plead with the government to help us. We can’t take the smell no more."
